Indecent Exposure Offenses Minnesota
Indecent exposure is defined as willfully and lewdly exposing one's body or "private parts" in a public place or in a place where others are present and may witness the act. A person who commits indecent exposure does so intentionally with an understanding that this conduct will likely alarm and offend others. This is different from, say, breastfeeding in public, which is not indecent exposure under the definition of the crime.
Indecent exposure is usually a misdemeanor, unless it was committed in the presence of a minor or is a repeat offense, in which case it may be either a gross misdemeanor or a felony.

Predatory Offender Registration for Felony Indecent Exposure
The laws of Minnesota provide that any person convicted for a felony level indecent exposure crime must be registered as a sex offender, thereby significantly affecting that person’s future education, employability, and other potential interests.
